The Buder Center is committed to the graduate education of American Indian and Alaskan Native students interested in pursuing a career in social work and public health. There are many aspects of the Buder Center program including curriculum development, collaboration with tribal, state, and national field education sites, research projects that relate to social work and public health practice with Native communities, and most importantly, engaging students through participation in conferences, interdisciplinary activities, and community events.

As a Buder Alumna, I am honored and excited to be part of the Center as the Assistant Director. My goal is to continue the Buder Center’s work in fostering the cultural, educational, and professional lives of the Scholars as they give back to tribal communities. In order to achieve this goal, the Center offers Scholars holistic guidance and support in preparation for their roles as future Native leaders within rural and urban tribal communities. If you would like to learn more about the Buder Center and its programming, please reach out to me. You can also contact the Buder Center at
