Honoring Our Elders: Healing Our People Through Tradition

The 25th Annual Washington University in St. Louis Pow Wow took place on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Fontbonne University’s Dunham Student Activity Center.

The theme “Honoring Our Elders Through Tradition” emphasized how Native elders help keep the balance of sharing traditional knowledge and stories alive among Native youth and families. There were about 4,000 attendees this year.

Co-Chairs of this year’s student-run Pow Wow included Wynette Whitegoat (Navajo) and Veronica Bruesch (Wichita/Ponca).
