The National Brain-Gene Registry is a partnership between 13 Intellectual and Developmental Disability Research Centers (IDDRCs) and The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS)–one of 27 Institutes and Centers at the National Institute of Health (NIH), for the purpose of co-registering genotypic and phenotypic data to accelerate understanding of how specific genetic variants impact neurodevelopment. This registry, in collaboration with ClinGen will accelerate the curation of hundreds of candidate genes which are suspected but not yet definitively proven to contribute to intellectual disability and autism.
