This week, Jon and Evan began to assemble the pump. After reprinting the side supports because the scaling was not preserved during file conversion, the holes remained slightly off, by about 2 mm. Each hole was filed to properly align with the base. All holes for the bearings were also slightly smaller than allowed, and they were filed large enough for the pieces to fit snugly.
In terms of software, it was contemplated whether to simply use the arduino as opposed to trying to integrate it using existing DAQ software. To help navigate these uncertainties, we will be meeting with Professor Ritcher in the ESE department on Monday.
