After receiving a stent from our clients, we attempted to use the thermocouples and heat source in combination with the stent, instead of our 3D printed model. We discovered that the thermocouples do not work accurately enough for our device. We then decided to try using an Arduino with a temperature sensor. We have developed code with our Sling Health team such that we receive noticeable feedback due to a change in temperature. With this setup, we are able to have the speaker beep and increase in frequency as temperature increases. The temperature increase is tested here as direct skin contact (by a team member holding the temperature sensor).

We met again on Wednesday and reviewed our process. We have decided to begin testing the Arduino circuit with temperature sensors rather than thermocouples. We obtained three breadboards that will be used for our model as well as three temperature sensors.

We met with Dr. Klaesner on Thursday to go over the changes in our design process. After meeting, we are now looking for multiple thermosensors and are going to purchase many for testing with our system.
