Washington University, the Missouri Botanical Gardens, the St. Louis Zoo, and other St. Louis institutions offer a variety of research opportunities to undergraduate students that allow students to study and conserve biodiversity, regionally and around the world.

Research courses

Learn about biological diversity and conservation in the classroom, field, and laboratory. WashU offers courses that allow students to conduct hands-on research alongside Principal Investigators in the Anthropology Biology and departments.

Abroad Opportunities

Attend lectures, speeches, research symposiums, educational seminars, and other events that educate and engage the public in biodiversity issues.

Internships

Many internship programs in the St. Louis area offer undergraduates the opportunity to conduct field and laboratory research themselves. The Living Earth Collaborative funds some such opportunities.
