Conference location

The Auditory Research Advances (AuRA) Conference was held in Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis’ EPNEC Auditorium on day one and the new Jeffrey T. Fort Neuroscience Research Building (NRB) on day two. Both buildings on the WashU Medicine campus are centrally located in the beautiful Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis and walking distance to restaurants, hotels, shopping, dining, museums, nightlife, and the magnificent Forest Park. See more on what to do »

Travel

Plane

Lambert International Airport (STL) is 15 miles from downtown St. Louis and WashU Medicine, where the AuRA Conference will be held. It’s about a 20-minute drive; taxis and ride-share companies, including Uber and Lyft, service the airport.

St. Louis’s local rail system, Metrolink, travels to and from the airport and stops in central locations in the city. It is approximately a 25-minute trip from the airport to the Central West End (for EPNEC Auditorium) and Cortex (for NRB) stops. The ride costs $2.50.

Train

Amtrak stops at the Gateway Station in downtown St. Louis. It is then about a 7- to 9-minute ride on the Metrolink rail from the nearby Civic Center stop to Cortex or Central West End stops, or about a 10-minute ride by car.

Parking

Parking for EPNEC Auditorium is available in the Metro Garage. The NRB has the Newstead Garage onsite.
