Instructor

I have been the instructor on record for the following courses at WashU:

R you Ready? Introduction to Statistical Programming

This seminar was taught as part of a 6 week summer program called WUSTEPS. The program was designed for undergraduate students around St. Louis to travel to WashU for 6 weeks and learn about graduate school and political science.

Course Description: This seminar will introduce students to the ideas and practice of quantitative analysis in social science. Students should expect to become familiar with basic concepts in statistics and learn to use statistical software for data analysis and visualization. The seminar will introduce students to the types of statistical softwares but will focus on developing competency in R. Students will develop an understanding of the basic components of quantitative research while learning the fundamentals of the R programming language. This course assumes no prior knowledge or experience with data analysis and will assist students in growing basic skills.
