The editor-in-chief “agrees” with me that “The theory of evolution presented as philosophical materialism or determinism or practical atheism…should not be permitted a monopoly in the classroom”. Note the nice slide from “philosophical materialism” which is clearly not science, to “practical atheism” which sounds like a synonym for methodological naturalism, the modus operandi of scientists, detectives, coroners, and others who seek reliable knowledge. - Crystalline surfaces on strange stars, (Washington University News, Dec 2006)
