Sebenzile Nkosi has a PhD in Psychology from the University of South Africa. She works as a senior scientist in the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Research Unit of the South African Medical Research Council. She also holds Research Associate positions with Rhodes University and the University of Johannesburg. Her research interest is men’s health, specifically the role of gender norms in men’s vulnerability towards health risks, including violence, substance use, and (other) mental health issues. Her current focus is interpersonal violence among male inmates in correctional facilities. Sebenzile has considerable research experience and has worked on multiple research projects of varied methodologies. She has also (co-)authored papers and published in peer reviewed international journals
