Description
This algorithm calculates air mass factors (AMFs) for HCHO, NO2, and SO2. The original formulation for HCHO is described in Palmer et al. [2001]. Modification to perform the calculation for NO2, and to account for clouds is described in Martin et al. [2002]. Subsequent development to account for aerosols, and to eliminate the tabulation of scattering weights by calling directly the LIDORT radiative transfer model (RTM) [Spurr, 2002] is described in Martin et al. [2003]. The calculation for SO2 is described in Lee et al. [2009].
